Kobidi (“Kobidi”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is operated by Bachir Rzama, an individual developer. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Kobidi mobile application (the “App”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: your email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are handled securely by our authentication provider and are never stored in plain text.
- Sign-in providers: if you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address from that provider to create and secure your account. With Sign in with Apple, you may choose to hide your email, in which case Apple provides a private relay address instead.
- Profile information: your name, and optionally your phone number, country, and profile picture.
- Trip content: the trips you create or join, and the content you add: trip names, destinations, dates, suggestions, votes, itineraries, stays, activities, and budget information.
Information created through use
- Basic technical data needed to run the service (for example, authentication sessions and standard server logs generated by our backend provider).
- A push notification token for your device, used only to deliver notifications about your trips. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
- Product analytics: anonymous usage events (such as pages viewed, features used, and buttons clicked) that help us understand how Kobidi is used and improve it. These events are tied to a random identifier, not to your name or email.
We do not collect your precise location, we do not show ads, and we do not sell your personal information.
How we use your information
- create and manage your account;
- let you create trips, invite others by code, and plan collaboratively;
- display trip content to the members of the trips you belong to;
- send you notifications about activity in your trips (for example when someone joins, makes a suggestion, or a step is finalized). You can turn these off at any time in your device settings;
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App;
- respond to your support requests.
How your information is shared
Kobidi is a collaborative app. Content you add to a trip (suggestions, votes, your display name, etc.) is visible to the other members of that trip. Please only share what you’re comfortable with the group seeing.
We share information with service providers who help us run the App:
- Supabase: our backend provider, which hosts our database and handles authentication and data storage on our behalf.
- Apple: for App Store distribution, TestFlight testing, and Sign in with Apple.
- Google: if you choose to sign in with your Google account (authentication only).
- Expo: to deliver push notifications to your device.
- PostHog: product analytics, to measure usage and improve the App. PostHog processes anonymous usage data on our behalf (hosted in the United States).
We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal account information and the trips you own, except where we are required to retain certain data by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:
- edit your profile information directly in the App;
- delete trips you own from within the App;
- delete your account from within the App, which removes your personal data;

Children’s privacy
Kobidi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
International data transfers
Kobidi is available worldwide. Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure your information is protected in accordance with this policy.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure authentication and access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
